Snorkeling Tour on Dashing Coral Reef

Everybody seems to know about Bunaken National Park in North Sulawesi, Indonesia. If you don’t, then you can read this information. The marine waters off the northeastern tip of Sulawesi are considered the global epicenter of marine biodiversity with higher concentrations of marine life than the Great Barrier Reef. The five islands that make up Bunaken National Park alone are home to over 1500 species of fish and 300 of corals.  It also claims to have seven times more genera of coral than Hawaii, and has more than 70% of all the known fish species of the Indo-Western Pacific. Snorkeling or diving will give you the opportunity to see sea turtles, trigger fish, parrot fish, angel fish, clown fish, unicorn fish, snapper, grouper, trevalli and even the small critter such as nudibranch can be seen only by snorkeling.

SULAWESI TOUR WITH Fun Experience on Dolphin Watching

Manado bay is home for sea mammals. Groups of dolphins and whales are common across the Gulf of Manado. You can easily distinguish dolphins from whales. Dolphins usually jump out of the water while whales just swim on the surface. Both demonstrate spectacular performance. Often be seen are pilot whales and sometimes orca and sperm whales. Dugong sometimes appears in Manado Tua and Siladen Island. Dolphin watching activities will bring you closer to these sea mammals. Then you will understand how they live and how they respond to human, you. We also can get a chance to swim along with these sea giants.

Sulawesi Tour in Minahasa Highlands Sightseeing

Minahasa Highlands is rich with showy picturesque landscape. Whoever comes to this highland will surely fall in love with the nature. Green, fertile and peaceful marks the land perfectly. There is lake that host endemic life of Tondanichthys Kottelati or the Halfbeak fish from Tondano as well as Ophieleotris Aporos Bleeker that is snakehead gudgeon or locally known as Ikan Payangka. Another lake called Lake Linow has an ability to change color on the surface. On the highland you will have the opportunity to visit the lakes, geothermal power plants, traditional market in Tomohon, Bukit Kasih or Hill of Love, Waruga sarcophagi, and megalith in Batu Pinabetengan. These places are well known to perform beautiful landscape.

Mingle with Villagers

People in Minahasa are friendly and smiley. This great opportunity offers super local experience by visiting them. As experienced agrarian, villagers go to the farmland to take care their crops daily. They diligently apply the farming knowledge obtained from the ancestors. All are done traditionally. Many farmers work on the rice field as rice is the main source of carbohydrate. Some works on the dry farmland. But most of the farmers are able to manage both. On this activity you will be able to see the palm sugar and palm wine making, even tasting each of it. And then, a farmer family will host your lunch and your amazing farmland experience. Altogether, you will enjoy some time in the farmland with farmer family.

Crater Rim Walk on Active Volcanoes, Mt. Lokon and Mt. Mahawu

Surrounding Tomohon are two volcanoes. Extending from north to south in the east of Tomohon is Mt. Mahawu. Whilst, in the west  Mt. Lokon, Mt. Empung and Tompaluan Crater. These volcanoes are part of Tondano Caldera that was created in the late Miocene or early Pleistocene time that was 3 million years ago. There are two deep craters to be seen on this trip. We will climb across the lava river to reach the Tompaluan crater for Mt. Lokon. Tompaluan crater is in the middle of Mt. Lokon and Mt. Empung. And for Mt. Mahawu, the entrance is not difficult. From Mt. Mahawu you are able to see the other end of the caldera, which is Mt. Soputan. These volcanoes are stratovolcano or composite volcano. It means that the volcanoes were build by layers of hardened lava, tephra, pumice and volcanic ash.

Observing Wild Life in Nature Reserve

Tarsiers, Black Crested Macaque, Cuscus and Red-Knobbed Hornbill are endemic animals to Sulawesi. These animals are able to be seen in Tangkoko Nature Reserve. The nature reserve itself hosts not only these animals. There are quite a number of birds such as pigeons, parrots, eagles, serpents and other reptiles and mammals roaming around freely. As home for these endemics animals, the nature reserve also has plenty of big trees in many kinds. One tree in the middle of the jungle is called Avatar tree. Visitor can go into the cavity inside the tree and might climb up. These big trees serve foods to the animals as well as nest and home. Here we will explore the jungle to spot these animals with trekking. You will have chances to take pictures or shoot with your video camera of the activities of the animals.
