North To South of Sulawesi

Sulawesi is one island in central Indonesia, formerly known as Celebes. This tour will bring you to the best places in Sulawesi such as Bunaken National Park, a heavenly underwater park that is very famous in the world and then to Tomohon where you will see the glimpse of local people. Also to Togian Island in Central Sulawesi and then to Toraja for its sparkling culture.



From North to South of the island or vice versa, you will definitely enjoy your interaction with local people, with the nature and many things that will enhance your life experience through travel.

I T I N E R A R Y – Sulawesi North To South

Day 1-5 Arrival @ North Sulawesi & Bunaken Marine Park

During 4 days you will visit Bunaken National Marine Park in North Sulawesi. Arrive in Sam Ratulangi Int’l Airport, we meet and collect you there and together we go to Bunaken Island for the visit. You will have all the meals in the island and based on resort’s schedule. During your visit in Bunaken Island, we will do some tour activities such as Snorkeling on the reefs and drop offs just in front of the resort, boat trip and dolphin watching around the national park, go to Siladen island for snorkeling, and then visiting the long beach, a very private beach where you can do anything you want there, and of course visiting the villages nearby.

Day 5-9 Tomohon and Minahasa

Leaving Bunaken Island, we will continue the trip to Minahasa Highlands. Before we head to Tomohon, we will first go to Tangkoko Nature Reserve, one of two nature reserve in North Sulawesi where visitors will see endemic animals such as Black Crested Macaques, Tarsiers, Cuscus, Red Knob Horn Bill, many huge trees and friendly nature by the beach.

We will leave the nature reserve in the evening. Lunch and Dinner will be en route of the day tour. Check in to a resort in Tomohon and stay overnight for 4 days. Trip in Tomohon including visiting Mt. Mahawu, an active volcano, hotspring, Tondano Lake, Linow Lake, Waruga site in Woloan, Knockdown House Production, Traditional Market, Bukit Kasih Kanonang, Rurukan Village, Three Darma Temple, Bukit Doa Mahawu, Japanese Cave and Kayawu Village and many more.

Day 5 – Tangkoko Nature Reserve
Day 6 – Trekking Mt. Mahawu and Lake Linow
Day 7 – Tomohon City Tour
Day 8 – Minahasa Tour
Day 9 Gorontalo or Luwuk

Leaving Tomohon, we will head to Gorontalo for transfering to Togian Island for next adventures. Ferry is available from Gorontalo to Togian Island. We will go to Gorontalo by driving or flight (we will see the condition).

Day 10-14 Togian Island – Central Sulawesi

Another 4-days staying in Togian islands, Central Sulawesi. Apart of snorkeling, we will visit the local village, use some kayak or canoe to explore the islands. If you hold diving license it would be nice for you to try diving (optional, not include in the package). nRelaxing and sunbathing is one of the favourite activities along with snorkeling and diving.
Day 14 – 16 Leaving for Toraja:

Leaving for Toraja, following Poso and then Tentena. Lunch and Dinner en route. We will stay overnight either in Poso or Tentena.

Day 16-19 Toraja | South Sulawesi

One wonderful place to see something amazing in Sulawesi. As in the heart of the island, Toraja hosts a spectacular experience with their culture for tourists to see and local people to feast.

Days in Toraja you will be visiting:

  • Pallawa — Pallawa site is also a compound of houses and granaries. In total there are 11 houses and 15 granaries.
  • Bori Parinding — The site of Bori Parinding is a combination of ceremonial grounds and burials. The ceremonial ground is an open space used for / traditional ceremonies, including rituals for the dead and thanksgiving.
  • Kande Api — The site of Kande Api consists of a compound of houses and granaries, ceremonial ground and burial places.
  • Nanggala — Nanggala site is principally a compound of 2 houses (tongkonan) and 16 granaries (alang), arranged in rows and aligned east-west.
  • Buntu Pune — Formerly, the sites of Buntu Pune and Rante Karassik belonged to one integrated settlement.
  • Rante Karassik — The site of Rante Karassik is a ceremonial ground on a sloping hill.
  • Ke’te Kesu’ — Among the nominated sites, Ke’te’ Kesu’ is the most complete settlement. The site consists of a compound of houses and granaries, burial place, ceremonial ground, ricefields and water-buffalo pasture.
  • Pala’ Toke’ — The site of Pala Toke is principally a burial place located on a towering limestone hill, from where a rice field extends to the north, east and west.
  • Londa — Londa is a grave site where two methods of burial are customary.
  • Lemo — Lemo is also a cliff burial site with galleries of ancestor statues.
  • Tumakke — The site of Tumakke displays a distinctive traditional house built on a raised terrace.

Day 19-21 Makassar

Leaving for Makassar and when arrive in Makassar, after we check in a hotel for one night in Makassar, we will walk to Pantai Losari for afternoon relax. The tour ends in Sultan Hasanuddin Int’l Airport for home or any port in Makassar for your next trip.
